Course Requirements
Trained Nurse: 18 to 28 years (as on 1st June 2024).
Marital Status:
Candidate can be either unmarried or married.
Gender:
Female Minimum Height: 5 feet (152.4 cm).
Weight:
As per as Body Mass Index (BMI).
Nationality: The citizen of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan. Candidates having dual nationality shall have to surrender other than Pakistani nationality at the time of final selection.

Type of Commission Qualification Age Trained Nurse (Lieutenant) B.Sc Nursing (4 years) or 3 years Diploma in Nursing + 1 year Midwifery 18 to 28 years Other Requirements for Additional Trained Nurses Registered with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). Preference for those who have completed post-basic specialty course by PNC, i.e., ICU, OT, CCU.
Reasons disqualified:
- Medically unfit by Appellate Medical Board.
- Withdrawn or dismissed from Armed Forces academies or from government services on disciplinary grounds or medical.
- Convicted by any competent court of law for offenses involving moral turpitude.
Registration and Preliminary Selection
Process for Registration:
Online Registration:
- Register yourself at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk to obtain the computerized roll number slip.
- Registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs):
- The visiting of the nearest AS&RC can complete their registration without a tedious process of providing all the documents and paying the prospectus fee.
Preliminary Test:
- Written and intelligence tests (MCQs) in English, Mathematics, Pakistani Studies, Islamic Studies, General Knowledge.
- Individuals who passed through this are to undergo physical and medical tests, interview.
Further Selection Process:
Interviews:
- Those conducted in Lahore and Karachi and Rawalpindi by the General Headquarters Selection Board.
Final Selection:
- By overall performance, to be finalized at GHQ.
Required Documents:
The following documents need to be submitted at AS&RCs by candidates:
- Original and attested photocopies of certificates, degrees, and detailed mark sheets.
- Domicile certificate verified by issuing authority.
- Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) photocopies.
- 3 passport-sized color photographs attested in the front and back.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) for government employees.
Training Period:
Duration: 6 weeks of basic military training for AFPGMI Rawalpindi and CMH Kharian.
On successful completion of training, candidates are commissioned as Lieutenants. Selected candidates will have to sign a bond to serve the Pakistan Army for a minimum of 10 years for B.Sc Nursing.
